What's New in the 2023 Update
Changes to Web Site Content
Starting from the 2016 Update, the schedule for performing component and system study updates is every other year. Starting from the 2023 Update, the schedule for performing loss of offsite power and initiating event updates is changed to every other year as well. This 2023 Updates include the studies for loss of offsite power and initiating events using data through calendar year 2023.
The parameters used in the SPAR models have been updated using data through calendar year 2020. The 2020 SPAR parameter update includes initiating event frequencies, component unreliability, component unavailability, common cause failure alpha factors, and loss of offsite power nonrecovery probabilities. The next update is planned to use data through calendar year 2025 and will be conducted around 2026.
